Dodecanesso
La forma cosmopolita
El grupo de las islas de Dodecanesso enumera un suma de 13 islas alineadas en el Egeo Oriental, cuya posición estratégica las hizo vulnerables a una lista más grande de invasores que el resto de Grecia: Egipcios, los Caballeros de San John, turcos e italianos todos han contribuido como conquistadores. Rodas es la isla más grande y más cosmopolita de las islas de Dodecanesso y su pueblo principal es el sentamiento medieval, habitado más grande en Europa. Otras islas populares en el Dodecanesso incluyen Kos, Symi y Patmos, mientras los espacios naturales de Lipsi y Tilos tienen unas playas fantásticas sin multitudes grandes. Agathonisi, Kastellorizo y Kassos son lugares de aturdido para experimentar la vida tradicional y serena de la isla. Varias islas del Dodecanesso, especialmente Rodas, se establecieron por los griegos antiguos y jugaron un papel prominente en la civilización Helénica durante muchos siglos. Actualmente, el turismo es de valor económico significado para las islas, como todos tienen cielos soleados, playas hermosas e infraestructura turística perfecta y una lista interminable de elecciones de vacaciones.
